Vertep is a traditional Russian Christmas puppet performance existing in Russia since the 18th century traditionally playing in a small two-leveled box.

VB plays the performance in a very traditional way that means by candlelight and with live voice. Various Christian songs of different nations are used in VB performance. Vertep perfomance usually is played for a small audience in small halls. The Pperformance is interactive, so actors sing traditional songs involving the public in learning and singing Christmas songs and games.
