There are two actors taking part in the perfomance according to the Russian tradition. The first one stays inside the curtain working with puppets. He changes the voice using a special sound modificator called swazzle. The second one stands in front of the curtain playing a musical instrument and talking to Petshka and to the public.
The perfomance can be playing in any aparttment or in the street. the number of spectators is not limited.
The perfomance is interactive. The spectators learn and sing different traditional fair songs and games.
